This Privacy Policy explains how PantryChef AI ("PantryChef AI", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, retains, and protects your information when you use our mobile app and related services (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account and login information — including the email address and authentication identifiers you use to create and sign in to your account.
• Email address — used for account access, transactional messages, and optional product updates.
• Subscription and payment status — your current plan (Free, Sous Chef, Top Chef), renewal status, and billing platform (Stripe, Apple, or Google).
• Recipe preferences — dietary restrictions, cuisines, meal types, and other preferences you supply.
• AI-generated recipe requests — the ingredients, prompts, and selections you submit so we can generate recipes, along with the recipes you save.
• Analytics and performance data — device type, app version, crash reports, and aggregated usage data used to keep the App reliable.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe (and, where applicable, by Apple App Store or Google Play billing). PantryChef AI does not directly store full payment card numbers.

We use the information we collect to:

• provide and operate App functionality;
• improve recipe generation and AI output quality;
• personalize your experience and recommendations;
• process and manage subscriptions and billing;
• improve and train our AI systems on aggregated usage;
• provide customer support and respond to requests;
• maintain security, prevent fraud, and protect users and the service.

We rely on a small set of trusted service providers, including:

• Stripe for payment processing;
• Apple and Google for in-app subscription billing;
• cloud hosting and database providers;
• analytics and crash-reporting tools;
• AI model providers used to generate recipes.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security policies.

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers necessary to operate the App, or when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.

PantryChef AI retains user information only for as long as necessary to provide services, maintain account functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and improve platform performance.

Some anonymized analytics or transaction records may be retained for security, legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated data at any time by contacting: service@thepantrychef.app. You can also delete your account directly from within the App on the Account screen.

Upon verified request, PantryChef AI will delete user data within a reasonable timeframe unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, tax, or regulatory purposes.

You have the right to:

• request deletion of your account and associated data;
• contact our support team with any privacy questions or concerns;
• unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in those messages or by contacting support.

Transactional messages (such as receipts and security alerts) may still be sent while your account is active.

Recipes, ingredient suggestions, and nutrition information in the App are generated by AI and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. PantryChef AI does not provide medical, dietary, or professional nutritional advice. Please consult a qualified professional for any medical, allergy, or dietary concerns, and always verify ingredients and cooking steps before use.

• Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before renewal.
• You may manage or cancel subscriptions at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or through the billing portal in the App for web/Stripe subscriptions.
• Refund eligibility is subject to the billing platform's policies (Apple, Google, or Stripe) and applicable law.

PantryChef AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. However, no platform or method of transmission can guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
